I'm going to buy a new mirror due to alarm retrofit and I want to get FLA.
I have found one that is for E70 according to bmwfans. Will mirrors not listed on E60 fit and work ?

 

What is the option that FLA stands for? Anyways, if the new mirror has power and the previous one didnt you will have to provide power.

I know a mirror from an E9x will work in our car. I currently have one with a compass in it. No issues at all with it.

 

FLA is "High Beam Assist"
Have you checked the part number on bmwfans if it fit's your car?
Most mirrors is used on several models, but i see some mirrors seems to only go to one spesific model, I wonder why?

 

Going to answer my own question.
Mirrors from other car's models etc will fit even if not listen om realoem or bmwfans.
I fitted 51169133833 that's from an X5, i only had to buy new covers since X5 uses a bigger cover.
