Yeah, because most factory sound processors are programmed to adjust the eq as you adjust the volume, thats why most aftermarket systems out there require you to use there volume control while leaving the cars volume at a set level.

+1

Heard good things from colleagues over the Rockford Fostgate 3Sixty, but the new JBL MS-8 is meant to be really effective, i'm looking for one myself, think its gotta be the JBL tho

the JBL unit is logic 7 as well, I've also heard a lot of people wanting to get it. the 3sixty from RF is nice but you have to use a pda to make any sdjustments to it. I still think in terms of best sound the audison is the way to go, it also provides the most input channels.

Audiocontrol makes the LC6, LC7 and LC8 which sums signals. The LC6 is about $150.

Do those units process as well or just sum? I've had audio control in the past and have always had issues with a high noise floor

Yes Audio Control tends to give you noise problems, stay away. definately Audison well worth the $800.

So i have a question...if I purchase one of these Sound Processors I wouldnt have any need to buy the Dension Gateway 500 because I was looking at the Kicker one that just came out and they said it provides all of that on it? You guys follow me? Here's the link

yes some of the processors have the ablility to have auxilary inputs. However this is different than the gateway because it doesn't interface with the idrive. The gateway will work with the idrive and display things like ipod playlists etc. If you don't care for that then yes you can get rid of the gateway and just use the aux input on the processor to listen to your ipod etc.

What a ripoff for midline equipment. Hit up 6spdcoupe, he's in Edison. You wont get 'taxed' for merely driving a BMW.
