Noquarter, the iDrive controller knob moves the pointer around the screen. Text is also entered via the controller with BMW's "wheel" letter selection software.

Hey Nelson, Thanks! It's been great getting my feet wet in the forums again. The Combox mod is just what our enhanced CiCs needed. Haha

Good morning Nelson and any others in the-know,
In terms of the new "Office" menu options for the Combox, which phone do you think brings the most to the table at this stage? My iPhone4 only provides Contact info in the sub-menu and my Blackberry Torch 9800 only improves on this marginally by adding "Messages".

Are the new HTC phones with Android OS a better choice? Also I believe Bruce or Patryk had mentioned that the Nokia E72 allowed for the full Office menu to be functional. I also have an older Blackberry Bold 9700. I wonder how well that would integrate. I'm trying to decide on which phone I should be using long term as the in-car functionality for the Office menu is awesome and very practical based on my job. I want to stick to a Blackberry if possible given that I am an avid user of BBM however iPhone trumps the Berry's in practically every other category. (Just my opinion guys, don't go apeshit). Haha.
