Sorry but chrome looks hideous on a bimmer IMO. Those are too big and flashy for a bimmer they look very tacky. Not sure why you would have gone with those things over some nice m5 166s or just left the wheels that came with it-take them off should be your first mod

O yea Im thinking of droping my car, what kind of springs should i get?

How low should I drop it.
the eibach pro-kit will drop your 545 1.2" all around. the eibach sportline will drop 2" in the front and 1.2" in the back. H&R race will give you a 2" drop all around. H&R sport will drop you 1.3" in the front and 1.2" in the rear. also the option of coilovers are also open.

I would normally agree that chrome is too much -- but have to say that in those pictures it looks OK to me. Dark car with tint helps balance out shiny wheels -- just needs to be lowered.

For springs I personally think Eibach Pro-kit is best if you are not changing the struts....and I happen to have a set for a 545 that were accidently installed on my 530 for less than 2 weeks if you are interested. Actually it felt really good with the stock (sport package) struts, but the front end didn't drop enough for obvious reasons.

My friends got those same wheels but in black for his Audi A6. We were a bit deceived from the pictures thinking the face would be more flat, not convexed inwards.

So what type or style of wheels are you looking for?

As for springs, a lot of members on this board uses H&R Sport springs. Coilovers are great as well and will allow you with more flexibility to dial in your preferred height and dampening (depending on which brand).

Don't let all the chrome haters get you down. Wheels look fine to me, just needs a drop. Do you have anymore pictures of your exhaust? I love the tips you chose.

I did not mean literally too big but meant big in terms of too "loud" or "flashy". I do actually think 20s do not look ideal. I prefer 19s all around which look perfect. 20s also slow you down due to hearing effect.

I dont hate chrome at all but it has to be on the right car. I like a nice mustang cobra with chromies. I like the vettes in big chromies but a classy car like bmw with those flashy really shiny rims just cheapen the loo and makes you look like someone trying to show off a big necklace or a huge flash jewelry-tacky but to each his own

I been looking in to some 20" BBS LMs for the 545, but i cant decide between Silver or Gold.
