So I ran across these tail lights that someone posted in the classified section and was thinking, wow these look like an updated version of the ones that redeyejedi tested and setup the group buy for (link below).

I went back to redeyejedi's original review thread and compared pictures and from the outside, they look pretty identical. However, a member posted a picture of the back side and this is where they differ significantly from the one in the link I posted. The ebay link also shows the LED bars lighting up without the brake lights lighting up with it behind it. The LED bars also look to be more even and more red and less pink than before (this is probably just photo editing though).

I might call up the seller tomorrow to ask about these to get some definitive answers to my questions above. These look like the Sonar ones that Umnitza sells but cheaper. What do you guys think?

 

They are the same lights as Redeyejedi's.

No, no special cable required. However, if you want MORE of an LCI "looking" light then Bruce Miranda does offer cables to give these lights more LCI-like appearance.

 

How diff are these from the LCI? The LED tubes look pretty decent on these. But hard to tell from photos that use flash.

Thanks for the replies guys but these seem different than the one that redeyejedi got and was hoping if anyone could confirm. The way the back is laid out is COMPLETELY different than the ones pictured in redeyejedi's thread. Also the Sonar ones from Umnitza are said to not have the rear lights lit when not braking. The one's that redeyejedi got however, do. Time to ask the seller some questions!
