Hey everyone, I bought the 2008 black exhaust tips for my 2007 550i. The original tips and pipes are angled so that the top of the pipe sticks out further than the bottom of the pipe. The 2008 tips are not angled. This leaves a visible gap and the bottom spring clips showing.
What have others done to solve this?
- cut the tail pipe to make it match the shape of the tips
- cut back the bottom spring clips
- paint inside the tip
Thanks for any advice

You have a 550. The first thing you need to do is saw off your exhaust and weld on an RPI exhaust! Problem solved, sir. As a matter of fact, it will sound AMAZINGLY SEXY!!!!! Those little tips you have there belong on a 530, not a beastly V8!

The tips looks like they are mounted on crooked or are they tapered?

I had those same tips only on my 530 which showed even more of the "isnide" oem pipe underneat. I painted it flat black with high temp paint and it worked great and you could not notice the inerior pipe
