I will have to ask him. I'm going to see him today and try to get as much information as possible. English isn't his first language so it's hard understanding him sometimes but we'll see.
We're counting on you for info
oh. when I saw nicke60gre's car with V1 at night, I was like, this is really bright and sexy looking. I think you'll be really happy come night. And Nick is right, the contrast and "cool white" color of the ICE and AIB for that matter don't show up that well during the day.
They're the same color temp.
You need the actual led to light up directly towards the outside without going through the angel rings first. Or a REALLY powerful led.
The LCI's DRL are indeed bright, but I think it still uses a normal bulb, so they can up the wattage easily.

Thanks Nick
I just checked my lights again, and they not only light up when you unlock the car, but when you lock it also! Personally, I think it's pretty cool, but I have no idea how my mechanic hooked them up. I'll ask again.

You have a good installer on your hands, keep him and share him with others.

the RGB affect is simple. a thin plate glass or small film filter of any color since the ICE is bright white, you can manipulate the color any way you want.

As for speaking to my mechanic, I will try my best at picking his brain to get the info on how he wired everything but I will be down there when he closes shop + I'm going out with my g/f for dinner so we'll see.
I double-checked and the car does light up with BOTH unlock and lock features + DRL. In the 2 position on the light switch, the AE's stay on regardless of whether the key is in or not. I will have to check if they turn off without the key and the switch in 2 position.

That's really interesting...I'll see what they look like at night and hopefully they're brighter than what I saw in the shade of my mechanics bay. I'll post pics later.
