I have a Titanium Gray II 545 with the M Tech rear bumper and have thought about painting the diffuser a different color since day one. However, since Titanium Gray is a medium-dark color I would probably paint it a lighter color.....maybe Silver Gray or even aluminum silver to give it the matte metal look.

If I were to go for a darker color then I would not paint the diffuser. Instead of painting I would get the carbon fiber one from Tony (quad_m). That way the CF pattern will make it more noticable than just black.
Agreed 100%, we are sharing the same thoughts, (since day one) but, some day I will paint it silver ...or better tint it.

Hey Nick.......what was that silver material that you used on your mirrors? I remember seeing your post with the pictures of how you put the material on. Can that be used to make the rear diffuser silver?.....or is the diffuser too big?

and the famous 3D DESIGN JAPAN carbon diffuser (expensive )
I'm all for the two tone diffuser on grey, especially after seeing those last picks from quad-m - CF looks spot on and will high-light the quads nicely.
Had a similar set-up on my E46 3er M-Sport; Silver-Grey with Matt-Black diffuser. Looked great.
