Can I also recommend a darker shade of grey. If you paint it black maybe a matte or flat black instead of gloss.

I like it too. I've had thoughts about paint my LCI Titanium Silver M-Sport's diffuser Platinum Gray.

If you've seen the E90 3er M-Sport it has matte gray diffuser. Might be nice for the E60 too.

Found a pic not a good one though..

I have a Titanium Gray II 545 with the M Tech rear bumper and have thought about painting the diffuser a different color since day one. However, since Titanium Gray is a medium-dark color I would probably paint it a lighter color.....maybe Silver Gray or even aluminum silver to give it the matte metal look.

If I were to go for a darker color then I would not paint the diffuser. Instead of painting I would get the carbon fiber one from Tony (quad_m). That way the CF pattern will make it more noticable than just black.
