Default Two errors after coding LM1 to LM2 module

Hi,

My car is a E63 from 2004 with original pre-lci bi-xenon ahl headlights. I wanted to have welcome lights and drl as angel eyes so I decided to buy a used LM2 module on ebay. After connecting the LM2 module I programmed my VIN in the module and updated to the latest software, I then copied the VO to the LMA module en reset the values in the LMA module. The LM module shows the following errors:

ERROR E51D (No message steering angle)
ERROR E51A (No message yaw rate)

The modules in my car are using the latest software and I have tried to add LM2A to the VO list because my car has pre-lci headlights. None of this helps and the two errors do not disappear, I can not delete them. My car is working properly strange enough, everything is working as expected. But as you might understand I would like to now if someone here has an idea how I can get these errors deleted? The errors are not there when I install the LM1 module.

Thanks,

Henry

It seems no one knows a solution, personally I think it is because the newer lm2 module is newer than the rest of the modules in the car. Although all modules are on the latest software the lm2 module is expecting (possibly by hardware) these two values which it is not getting. One thing i haven't tried yet is to downgrade the lm2 module to the oldest software (Reason: I don't have this old software). There must be more people with these two errors after upgrading their lm1 to lm2 module.

Anyhow my car (ahl bi-xenon and other lighting) is working as it should, how about yours?

I have the same errors and I think the problem is signal from AHL module not received and the wires from AHL module have to be connected directly to LM2 since LM2 has built-in AHL control. Then AHL module can be removed. This is for cars with Adaptive lights and separate AHL module behind the glovebox

Awesome!! My AHL does work with LM2 but only horizontally.. I never noticed the RLS not working..

One question, I'm confused about the CANBUS cable, is the CANBUS cable a special wire type ?

Hi i have some questions:

After you have done the wiring, the errors have disappeared?
Did you have to programm ONLY the LM2 or also other moduls?
Does the cornering lights function work ad well?
Thanks

Yes, cornering lights, adaptive lights, all working correctly, no faults at all.

You will have to program at least CAS unit as you changing the VO with date production - but I'm not sure if this is necessary step, never tried that.
Preferably all unit with the Expert Profile.

Hi Madein,

This is a great tutorial, not sure if i am going to do this though... Seems a lot of work and can go wrong... But this definately explains the two errors in the car.

Rgds,

Henry
