As Many discussions as we have on this subject, I have still not gotten to the bottom of whether i can havesome aftermarket unit installed to my car so i can watch tv on the idrive screen. I have no nav or tv option.
Anyone who can clear this up for a uk person like me would be greatly appreciated.

If you want DVB-T you have to do the following:
Switch your analog BMW TV tuner for the digital BMW TV tuner - and (if you want to) wait for the soon to be released module from Freischaltmodul.de what allows watching while driving.
Or you get the module T-5000 to be able to watch while driving and connect the BMW settop box to it.

I wouldn't bet on it, Kris!
3) 1 Unit does SCAM PAL, NTSC, RGBS, RGsB, SYNC and Inverted Sync in 1 unit. (1 unit works on all cars except for Mercedes Benz.)

Hi!
Thats good news for us that didn't buy the TV from factory (890?). For 400? you will get TV and even be able to watch it while driving![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Is it easy to install ? I dl a PDF file which showed an instalation on a E65, you have to cut wires
In our previous car (Volvo V70 2.4T-00) we had the original TV tuner, which we hacked so we could watch TV while driving, miss the option now - in traffic jams it's great!!

You will watch TV and ONLY TV, you can't use the split screen while the system is active! Split screen and other stuff is hidden underneath/behind the TV screen whilke you watch...
They will release a module soon what allows watching TV while the car is in motion thru the BMW TV tuner.
