I'm just doing a bit of research to help out a friend, who has been told its a dealer only option to switch off the passenger side air bag.

Can this be done in NCS Expert, anyone know what the option is?

Yes there is a retrofit kit for this. Comes with a key knob in the glove box.

Cheers Blood time to reinstall it to get to work again... as it doesn't want to connect to the car for some reason at the moment.

Cant believe there isn't a Key switch to by pass the passenger seat like on other manufactures as standard. Who wants to keep getting it coded every time you want to have a baby seat in the front....
