I'm getting a new 530d.
A friend in the place where i'm buying the car mentioned a upgrade in the engine with a AC Schnitzer chip. It will have 252 PS and 550 Nm, better diesel burn. The top speed is around 252 Km/h. They give warranty and it's done in the dealership where the car is being bought. What you think about this? Does it worth?

Very interesting, Mr Tuga. I can't imagine a little silicon would cost big bucks - but what about the insurance?? Anyone out there with any experience of how they hike the premiums after chipping out a car?

 

Lucky guys, There is nothing here in the States to tune our cars ye. I called Dinan, theya re expecting something by 3rd quarter . The dealership took my info and place me in a whishing list to Dinan <_< and I don't see how it will affect your insurance, they won't know. This is my 4th BMW have chipped the other 3 at the dealer. My premium remain the same.

 

According to the informations i have, the insurance won't be plus expensive.
They don't ask about that. The cost is around 1350 Euros in Germany.
255 PS; 550 Nm; 0-100 km/h - 6,9 sec; Max. Speed- 252Km/h; 80-120Km/h - 5,3 sec (D). Looks good.
