To tune or not to tune?

Hi all - just joined up and am going through the FAQs - congratulations on a great website.
Last week I traded in my e46 m3 for an e60 530d sport auto - and I love it!
It does everything I want a car to do: the only thing I miss is the wild performance of the M3. I've been looking at different tuning options already: Tunit and DMS seem to be pretty decent; can anyone make any recommendations along these lines?
Also, would it be safe to install a Tunit on a new car (It's only done 400 miles so far) ?

Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
Loads of info in various places on this forum re the DMS tweak which seems to be the upgrade of choice, I think there is a group buy also if you are a forum member (?750 inc vat instead of ?750+vat).
I'm looking at it myself for my 535 when it comes.
Good point about how long you should wait before having it done....safest is to get it through its run in I guess.

just order the super charger for my e60 2004 530i sport it will take me from 225HP to 325HP and will push me faster than a stck 545i. The sales guy told me they dyno'd it a tad faster than the stock 545i.
my cost with tax is 5275.16US dollars and i am installin it myself, guy said it was a bolt on and easy to uinstall and willnot void my warranty...
My ride is gonna be fast as hell for a 530i and for 5200.00 i feel is not bad for what you get....should have it in a week or so

My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
DMS is the way to go. IMHO. No regrets whatsoever.
