Im going to put in hid fog lights and angel eyes in my 530i but i heard it will void my warranty? If the computer stops working and the dealer see's these upgrades will they not fix it? I think body work is ok like rims but what about lighting? Is this true? Im thinking if i ever have any problems ill just switch back to stock lights...

Has anyone had any problems with their lights and computer system not working? I noticed almost every1 in this forum with a e60 has these upgrades already done, any problems guys?

totally WRONG. common misconception.

they have to prove that the work on your car caused the part to fail. for example, your angel eyes cannot possible cause something in your engine to fail. if the dealer didn't want to work no your engine because of your angel eyes, the dealer would have to prove the angel eyes caused the failure.

I heard if you drive your car, it voids your warranty.

yeah im not talking about mechanical problems but what about computer problems, what of the lights cause the computer to malfunction? The dealer would have to prove my lights did it right?

Total BS.... Go ahead and do em.. You will (a) have no problems and (b) not have any warranty issues to worry about. This is plug n play and completely reversible, esp if you use decent bulbs...

That's ONLY if you are in the driver's seat while you are doing it though!!
