I went to my dealership for a warranty item. My I-drive showed the classic "increased emissions warning" which was related to a faulty DMTL pump which could not run the tank leak leakage module when starting the car.
While I was there, my SA said the long-awaited Dinan chip for 545i should be available in July and at a 50% discount (around $250). Can anyone else confirm that.
Also, my SA showed my his new ride - one of the last M3's made in 2006 and it came in Carbon Black. Now I know what all our European friends have been saying about that color. Simply beautiful and in the direct sunlight has dark blue tones.

My Ride: E60 M5, F85 X5M
I left a message for my sales guy, Felipe Escuton at Dinan about half an hour ago to get an update. Hope he can confirm the release date. The wait seems like it's been forever.

Only $250 for the Dinan chip? I find that hard to believe...
Yes, seems cheap but take a look at dinancars.com. The e39 stage1 software update is $399 and currently Dinan is running a 50% off all chips thru summer. Math adds up to me.
