Ive got Tracker Monitor.

With that the car is monitored 24hrs a day and if someone tries to break in, they phone the police and alert the tracker.

Tracker Retrieve is a waste of money. With that you have to phone tracker when it has been stolen. Thats no good if it has been stolen 11.00pm and you find it missing at 9.00 the following evening. There robbers could have driven it out of the country.

I've got Mobilfinder. Operation through your cellphone. You can track it whenever you want with your cellphone. The only current problem is, that the alarm system is not connected to it. So you don't get an SMS when there is an alarm, but you can track it whenever you want. They are still trying to find a way to connect it with the alarm system in the car. For me that is OK, since the car is allways in front of my home or my office - allways in sight. I like the fact that I can track it myself and get a SMS from it when want, showing me exactly where it is.

I thought the E60 has anti-theft GPS tracking installed?

I was told that mine does.

Nope.
BMW Assist (USA) just started to do so, I've heard. But that's new and US only.

GPS anti-theft tracking through BMW Assist is only on 2005 cars. It can't be retrofitted for 2004 cars. I received the first renewal letter for my BMW Assist a couple of days ago and called about this very question (US spec). Needless to say I won't be renewing...

Am considering that m630, just pointing out how silly it is that this ability is not part of BMW Assist. Worked like a charm on my OnStar equipped Yukon and was a lot cheaper...
