I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S3 from T-mobile. I first had to root it cuz T-mobile now has restrictions on customers using the phone as a hotspot. After a lot of research and spending 3 hours, I got my tethering stuff working and in place.
Next,
I went over to my ///M and paired the Galaxy S3 to the car. The car took the phone right on and in no time I saw all my contacts and stuff. Pandora plays CLEAR, very CLEAR. Music streaming is SUPERB.
Went into OFFICE -
The car now displays Text Messages on the iDrive monitor. The car is also able to read the text messages out to you through the speakers. Now that's cool because my iPhone was not doing that !
I didn't check but the car might be able to display email and read emails to the driver also (Still need to verify this but the option is being displayed)
Now the main part with the troublesome portion
Using BMW apps like the Internet and other apps.
The CiC does not recognize the phone to have an internet connection
I am thus unable to connect to the internet from the CiC, so no fancy features work.
Now,
I would want to know, how I could get my phone, the stupid Galaxy S3 from T-mobile, to work with the CiC (Combox, 6NR, 6FL) etc etc to give me Internet and thus giving me access to BMW Online etc.
If you dont have a clue what I am talking about, here is a link to what the S3 is able to do with the CiC - Combox - stuff

Can anyone of you please advice ?
