So this is something I've been wanting since my dad got a 2012 X3 His car is silver and his grill has titanium looking slits and then a chrome outside.. I think its a really updated stylish look and not just because its new but because I think tons of chrome is sort of on the out in terms of car styling, and this is still attention getting without being to flashy. Just my opinion I guess.
Anyways I feel like this would look really cool on an e60, and something I've never seen before. I'm sure we can all testify to having seen a BUNCH of blacked out grills, all chrome, and some body color and even some carbon fiber, but I've never seen a titanium finish one and I really want one! Any ideas on where to get one? or if an all chrome grill could be painted this way?

Your idea sounds good to me. I'm not sure if there is titanium look grilles for an E60, though.
I would rather paint the matte black grilles instead of chrome; less work sanding down the surface before painting.
