Hi all,

Firstly, thanks for reading this post and any information you can give me is much appreciated.

I bought a set of 20"breytons last year with low profile tires. No problems until the tires needed changing and the guy at the tire place said that i could increase the thickness of the tires to protect the rim. I asked him if they would rub and he said no. So I went with it and had him put the new tires on. Almost imeediatly i realized that the tires did in fact rub. It is not that bad, I al;most prefer it to the constant fear that i will bend a rim, but if there is a solution, i would love to know what it is. My assumption is that it will have to do with the suspension and limiting the travel some way. Please respond with any and all ideas and cures. Much appreciated.

If you are rubbing, one solution is to have your fenders rolled.

rolling your fenders will def fix your issue. I recenty had mine rolled and it did the trick. I also ungraded to 20's from 19's with a wider rear tire at 285/ 30/ 20. My car is also lowered on H&R sport springs w/ stock sport suspension. Since the,n I am experiencing no rubbing at all.

Go to a local body shop or someone you know who can do this for you on the fenders that are rubbing. Each fender roll shouldn't run you any more than 75 each.

Depends on where it's rubbing. If it's rubbing on the actual metal fender itself, roll them. If it's rubbing on the plastic inner liner, cut\trim the liner.

I learned how to drive so that the wheels wouldn't rub on certain bumps...now as for the scraping of the lip, whole nother story!

Thanks for all the feedback. The tires are rubbing on the inside, where the plastic inner liner is. Fronts only. The guy who put the tires on told me they could heat them and shape them...not sure what that means. Any advice???

My car was rubbing pretting badly on the right front. So much so that it pulled the lip and made it look all chewed up. A some patience, a heat gun, and a fender roller took care of that. If your in the LA area I can roll your fenders.
