can my new wheels drive without the "Tire-pressure monitoring system" sensors on my 2009 525i Asia version
some 1 say 2008+ cars need TPMS sensors and some say only US car needs them?

if your stock wheel has silver valve stem instead of rubber then you do it it...

FTM - No sensor inside the wheels. Regular valve stems.

TPMS - Sensors inside the wheels. Solid valve stems.

If your car does has TPMS, you can still drive it without the sensors. It will just give you an error light/message.

Guys this forum is the BEST, my rims is coming in couple of days without TPMS and the guy told me over the phone from BMW dealer that he belives that all model from 2004 up have TPMS, and i was about to take my tires from rims to take out TPMS for new rims, but now you saved me a couple of $$$$
I have 525i 2004 with rubber valve.

Do you know if front 245/40/19 will fit? Or do i need 235/40/19 front???
rear 275/35/19

THANKS!!!

235/35-19 is the size that match 275/30-19 best, so there is a few using that, me included.

do you have any close up photos of the 235 size setup, I like to see if the gap on the edge is bigger
here is a photo of a 19" with 245/35/19 the gap is OK and will protect it.

so if my car has rubber valve stems (2006 525I) then I don't have TPMS and don't need sensors? I am buying new wheels
