Has anyone tinted their car? If so, what color is your car and what type of tints did you get? Also, how much did it cost?

As suggested in JDNs link, posted info to the Huper Optik website and a local dealer contacted me. I had also asked at my dealer, and amazingly enough, their recommendation was the same person. $400 installed for Huper Optik 50. Here in New Orleans, local law says front windows can't reduce light more than 50%, and didn't want two-toned front and rear windows. Be sure your installer knows the local law so that you don't run afowl of the police. Went for the 40 on the rear for a bit darker look there. Very pleased, nice balance as I was more interested in heat reduction (works great!) than having really dark windows. No radio/cell phone interference.

35% tint all around on a jet blk 545 for about $350. I asked the dealer who they recommend, and these people did a fantastic job. Be sure to ask for non-metallic tint, otherwise it screws up the radio reception.

I want to tints. But I Want something a bit lighter than 35%. I went to a place around where I live, and they had 35% or darker....'oh sugar'

amigo, I will try tomorrow to get a picture, but no smart ass comments about how dirty my car is. Today is the first day it hasn't rained in almost two weeks, so it's very dirty.

I saw a titanium silver 530 with 40% in front and 28% in back. The two tones looked fine together.

40 is medium light and 28 is medium dark.

I also saw a 330 with 20% all around and it seems to dark for me.

I'd go with 20% in back and around 35% in front.

John, that looks really nice. My E60 is Jet Black and i am thinking about getting black tints also, just not sure how much...
