Tinted lights..(point me in the right direction)

I saw a 545I at the mall the other day with tinted tail lights. Just the red portion was tinted and the upper part was still clear. I could not tell if it was a tint or paint application and was wondering if anyone had a good sorce for that style light. Thanks for any help!
