ok, so i had my windows tinted yesterday, happy with the look. happy with the darkness. not happy with my morning AM radio reception. im a creature of habit and i need to listen to my ESPN radio in the morning while driving to work. now i can barely hear it because of bad radio reception. the only thing has changed since yesterday is the tinting. can the bad reception be caused by tint? need help. thanx

At this point, I'd say you're a bit SOL, because taking the film off the back window all but guarantees you'll be breaking some of the rear defroster lines or maybe the antennas as well. even the best tint installer can have problems with that. Like the other replies, I'm surprised this wasn't discussed with you prior to your decision.

check on your receipt. Metallic tint is great, but interferes with window-mounted antennas. ceramic costs more, but has higher heat rejection and doesn't interfere with anything.

just spoke to tint shop. they did not discuss options because theyve never had issues with bmws. only benz. they can replace rear tint but at extra cost, which is understandable but i wish this wouldve been discussed before. monday i will speak to manager and figure out what needs to be done. they didnt mention any isues with removing tint but ill prob get more info on monday.

I had Formula ONE Pinnacle Tint (ceramic) installed. The only way to go. A little more expensive than others, but IMO, its the best product out there.
Metallic tint is cheaper and thicker. It causes several issues ranging from poor radio reception to anti-trap errors.
