Tie Rod and Control Arm needs to be fixed

My Ride: 2004 530i 6-speed Titanium Silver/Black Interior Premium Package Sport Package Aux input 30 GB video iPod Cold Weather Package Xenon Red rear reflectors Tint Clear Bra

I had my oil and brake fluid changed at an independent shop and they claim that my tie-rods and right control arm needs to be replaced soon... cost is around $1200. Anyone get this type of job done? Can you post how much you spent?

Get the parts from Ebay.com. I got my control arms through there. So much cheaper.
