I went to the post office to a happy surprise that my Hoen Xenon Match Fogs are here!! I was so amped about installing another mod(though its a small one) But you have to start from somewhere ya no. But my excitment was only for a moment once I looked outside and saw this.Attachment 28057

Having never lived in a snowy place, doesn't all that snow ruin your car paint? How do you get all the snow off to drive it?

I can't imagine how you people keep up with that kind of driving condition (looks like more than a foot of snow). Here in Texas, when the weather will go just under freezing temperature and a chance to freeze everybody go crazy like it's the worst weather condition we ever had. Once in a while we have snow here but will not even last a day or two. And whenever it freezes up and snows all businesses and schools are closed. What more if we have that kind of snow conditions.

I know they're designed for hot and cold weathers in terms of driving. I'm asking about the PAINT, I'm sure there's gotta be some bad effect of snow on the paint. If you say they're designed to take snow, then why don't they design them for rain, tree sap, bugs and all that?! <_< Again, I'm asking about PAINT, not car design.

A fair question and one that's hard to answer. I live in the upper US and it's amazing to see 6mm of ice on the front of a vehicle adhering to the paint. Wash the vehicle in the summertime and it's hard to tell it was exposed to such extreme conditions. I guess that's a function of the clearcoat which protects the base paint. The bigger problem to me is the salt that's used on the roads.....eats away at everything and really sandblasts the front of the vehicle if you have the bad luck to be behind a salt truck!
