Correct, with coding the in dash CD player does play MP3, I mentioned earlier that the same coding enables AUX input as well, even though you do not need to have a AUX input connected for the CD player to play MP3s.

My in-dash CD player can play MP3 from the factory w/ no coding too ... but I'm pretty sure in-dash CD Player is not the same as CD Changer.
