Hi members!

And here :

Talked with Quaife about LSD for E60-e92_335i_200704_autocar_lsd_review_150.jpg

I have written to him and asked about E60 .
He answered :

"Dear Sir,

We are responsible for the development program for all of the BMW differentials, and I regret we have not yet got the data which would allow us to determine whether any of the existing LSD sets could be installed in that vehicle.

I regret that until we can inspect a car, we would not be able to offer this product.
[...] "

He told me not any problem with DSC/DTC .

Conclusion : he need an E60 to inspect, to develop the LSD .

Who wants to be the cavy ?
He is in Uxbridge, near london .
If there is an English member who is interested, I will send him a PM with the mail address of that guy .

We need LSD!!

Bye!

I agree. LSD is groovy. I would be all over a shorter gear ratio in a LSD. Somebody in UK pony up and let this guy inspect your rear In trade, I will watch over your Queen while she visits us here in Virginia.

Obligatory!

I would be all over a shorter gear ratio in a LSD.
I'm working on it : I have found -8% (3.15) for $998, -11% for $1750 and other too high ratios (3.38 and 3.46, -15% and -17%) .
I would prefer 3.23, but if I will not find it for less than $1000 I will go with 3.15 .
NOT ANY members has wanted to help me in this research : Dinan exhaust, instead, is very important here, with +5 HP .
I will keep you informed: your 550i has the same ratio as my 545i .

Is that near Birds Garage? Maybe Mandy if she is still there has an E60 or has a customer with one??
I used to sell Dinan parts to them when I worked there.

Yes, it's Birds: Quaife franchised all BMW diff applications to Birds.
Who is Mandy ?

Is it aplicable to 535d too?
BTW what are the ratio difference between a 535d and a 545i?

Later edit: Read the article and it seems so. AND OHHHH JOY. So much more torque to use and not waste, but i can only dream of the handling improvement. GUYS PLEASE LET'S MAKE THIS REAL!

Oh my God, my car would be perfect with an LSD and i think so would yours

She is the person that ordered all of the Dinan parts for Kevin.

off topic story:
When she first started to buy parts I could not understand what she meant by asking "how much for the cairrage" it took me a while to figure out that meant
