Hi Guys!
I have been reading quite a bit regarding the swirl flap problem on e60.net....
I am wondering if this is an issue with my car. I have a 535d E61 (march 2005)
I haven't been experiencing problems yet, therefore I ask You guys.
Please help me!

If you have a diesel particle filter in your car, you have the newer swirl flaps. However, they might break as well.
You will not experience any problems until they break. It's just one SNAP and there you go.
The removal is quite an easy job. If you haven't noticed, here's a guide to do it by yourself.

Have any 535d owner ever had an swirl flap failure ?
I've not seen any post about that, maybe the 525d & 530d are more common and that's the answer to my question?

Not strictly true - the 525d 3.0 doesn't have any
I'm not familiar with the 525d history.... are the pre-LCI 525d's 2.5 liter engines?
