swap non-sport springs with oem sport springs
#1
On a 2005 545i with non-sport package, can I swap the springs with oem sport springs to lower the car. If I can do this, can I keep my existing shocks or do they need to be replaced as well?
Also, if I keep the existing shocks will they wear quicker do to the car being lowered?
I was hoping to the lower the car without running into any warranty issues with BMW.

If you do one, do the other. If you don't, you wear out your non-sport OEM shocks/struts faster. Then you'll just be an unstable bouncing mess all over the highway.
But, if you decide to keep OEM, get the Eibach pro spring kit. Much cheaper and pretty much close to stock OEM sport.
One more thing, search function top right corner. It works great.
