I've search the site but does anyone know if there's currently or will be full coilover suspensions, or springs + struts for the E60 XI models? I know that there are H&R Sport Springs but i'm looking to get a full setup going.

I think member drlev99 would be able to provide some insight, as he's posted about his personal experiences with his previous xi model..i'm sure he will chime in...

And I think member c's bimmer is also in an xi, maybe wrong tho...

Being the expert in this field, the answer is simple. Nope. Nada. Springs only.

Ah thanks for the quick responses. Man I wonder if they'll ever come out with more than just springs only. So if it's just springs only how's the handling in your opinion? Right now with my stock suspension i'm able to hit the turns around 60mph and still have leeway but am planning on going to the track soon just to see how this car handles stock but was hoping they'll make full suspension in the near future.

For the guys that upgraded their 5er sport model, could we use their old springs on the xi for a cost effective solution?

I'm in the same boat, I've been staling buying new wheels because of this. I currently have the 124's for the xi and they have my winter sport tires on them. I called Gary from New Rochelle BMW and got a price quote on a new set of 124's with the sensors for my xi. I figure I'll put the summer tires on that set and keep the winter tires on the other. I'm really disappointed that we are very limited on wheels for our car. I like allot of the original wheel designs from BMW itself but they don't make the wheels for the XI. The other solution is buying $800 wheels from BBS. It comes out to $3200 for 4 which does not include shipping, sensors and tax.

Rick - You should buy my wheels for your car. They come in 4 new finishes now. They will look awesome and they are pretty much BMW wheels. They're just not OEM. No issues and I get compliments all the time.

Here, take a looks: http://www.velocitymotoring.com/links/Vb3_...al_finishes.htm

I would get Gun Metal, based on your color car.

Is there more to the answer on stock sport springs besides no? There's free beer involved.

What else is there to say? Run a search a see what pops up, maybe you'll find a difference answer. But you'll find member c's bimmer in most of those discussions regarding xi's and springs.....happy hunting...
