My Ride: 2008 535i
Default Suspension on 2008 535i w 97K

I have a 2008 535i with 19" aftermarket wheels and the odometer is about to reach 100K. I'd love to lower my car a little bit so initially I was thinking of lowering springs. But knowing I'll need to get new struts soon, maybe it's worth doing everything now. Hoping to get some recommendations from you guys and any experience you've had with suspension mods/upgrades. Coilovers? Lowering spring with aftermarket struts? Lowering springs with OE struts?

The most important thing for me is keeping a nice comfy ride + not getting any rubbing or having to think too much about speed bumps. I don't need to be slammed and I'll never track this car. I live in NYC and the streets are horrible, constant construction, etc.

KW has a set called "comfort" and that sounds interesting. Coilovers are also enticing because I can lower my car as little as .5" versus a fixed amount (as much as 1.5") with lowering springs. I use my car for total #dadlife - I barely speed or drive in a way to justify my fancy tires. Just cruisin' along, you know?

Any help is appreciated!
