I'm getting close to a 100k miles on the ride and now I can feel the AC not working that great. What's the best way to get that AC down. DIY or suck it up and pay for someone to do it?

AC System Issues are not that easy to inspect and correct ... and doing something like adding a can of wally-world AC 'fixemup' could do more harm than good. I vote to have a qualified AC Tech inspect the system for leaks, that the proper fluids are there in sufficient quantity, ensure that all fans are functioning properly, check the under-hood micro filters to be sure they aren't clogged and restricting airflow, etc etc. You can probably do some of those check and replace yourself (filters, etc) ... that is a very common issue that will reduce air flow and cooling effectiveness. I guess that's more noticeable when your hot than in the colder months.
