Suggestions for removing 3M tape off a spoiler

Promoter isn't really necessary IMO. If you have easy access to it or already have it then go for it. When I installed my roof spoiler, it needed to be painted. The body shop gave me a few packets so I used it. It looks like a disposable hand sanitizer wipe.
When installing my trunk spoiler, it was already painted and didn't I have the promoter. I was lazy to pick some up. Using a heat gun or even a blow dryer will work. if you use the heat gun, be smart about it and use common sense. They can get pretty hot.

On the trunk spoiler, I just used the tape. It's still on there pretty good. I made a tiny tape gap in the middle and near the bottom corners around the spoiler (back towards rear of car). That way, if water gets in from the front, it could drain out from the back along those gaps.
