YEAH but i already have L7 and well the speakers are just perfect. The bass could be more active with the addition of an amp+woofer

Don't even think of it. Your L7 is designed very differently from the normal hifi set-up. I asked around and was told that we can't even change the speakers as that would interfere in the overall performance of the L7. Be warned.....

The Logic 7 distortion is so awful, it will damage high-end speakers.

I would never risk it.

Either change everything, or nothing. That's my philosophy.

Ok! I'll back off then! Thanx.
It's not that i need more, the L7 is a super sound system for me...but a little more bass can never harm.

And btw subterFUSE L7 doesn't have any kind of distortion even at max volume. I play club, progressive house music and i normalize all tracks and it just won't give any distortion. None at all.

What speakers are under your front seats ? Are you referring to your new installation or do you have existing subwoofers in the B pillar area.

I thought the 520i comes with the standard 6 speakers ie no sub woofers which are found in the HiFi speaker system in the 530i. Did you get factory fitted HiFi Speaker System?

PS I sent you some PM

yup, there are 2 6" subs. there is also a high pass filter signal to the subs and control by front amp. the cut off is at about 100hz.

there are no tweeter in the A column. but just a 4" full range driver on the door panel.

changing the speakers of course will improve the sound system tremendously.

for L7, DO NOT touch the drivers, it will cause alot of distortion because the Harmon Kardon amp will not be able to drive the speakers. thus distortion.
L7 is tuned to phase the all speakers to produce ambience. changing the speakers will distort the whole set up.

Cool. I play progressive, too.

But... the Logic 7 system sucks ass by high-end audio standards. It does distort, at all volumes.... not just high.

What you are referring to is the source getting clipped. But in your case, your source audio is well-mastered... just like mine.

I also listen to my music at full-volume, but even at low volume I can hear the L7 processing artifacts and distortions.
