Substitute 55W LED for stock 35W Halogen?

I'm trying to fit a PIAA H8 55W LED bulb set (like these --

http://www.amazon.com/PIAA-TERA-6000K-Ultr...mp;s=automotive

) into the E39's fog lights (which uses H8 35W bulbs).

I know that the wattage rating is obviously different but maybe these will work since LED's run cool?
