This may seem like a atupid question but I cannot find the amp.
From most pics that I have seen the amp is on top of the grey insulation foam...
I can't see mine at all!

You don't have the amp. I believe your audio setup is "standard". In the US there is an amp and under seat subs with every audio setup (I think), but it is different in Europe.

Well, if you really do have subs, I believe there would be an amp as well. Are you sure there are subs under the grilles? Can you hear them when playing music?

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
It could be like the front speaker grill in the center IP, not all cars have an actual speaker in there.
