I thought the quest for the biggest lip ended in the mid '90s. So few wheels these days have a lip, and for me they look classier for it. The big lip makes me think of 70s muscle cars.

Lip is maken a comeback in a big way. Almost every non oem style wheel for our cars comes with at least a 3" lip in the rear. I;ve never been big on fads but i've loved deep dish wheels since the 80's.

Thought I would light up and old thread....My 17" style 5's should be on my car by next week. Stayed with 17's since tires are reasonable. Lowering car and using a 10mm spacer in rear....Will post pic of final results when car is completed...here is a teaser....

Got excited and installed wheels already. Hubcentric rings showed up today!

Thanks!! I think once I lower it, it will look even better. Very different than most cars on here, but I am but a lowly 525i with just a few options. I am a long time e28 driver and this keeps me connected to the heritage of these great automobiles. Plus I am very unlikely to see anyone else cruising around with an e60 on style 5's.
