Hi, I recently purchased a 09 528I.
I am currently looking for a set of style 166 for the car, but has some questions for you guys just to make sure that it fits.
my oem wheels are the style 278, 17X7.5, 225/50/17, non staggered

My questions are:
If I get the style 166, should i get them staggered or not?
If I get them staggered, the M5 tire size has a diff overall diamethe than my oem tire, will it cause any problem (even front n rear is different)?
Does anyone know if the style 278 comes with tpms in the wheel, or does the computer takes the data off the wheel speed sensors?

BTW, what offset should I get, I see that there are many offset avail for replicas.
Thanks in advance.

OEM 166 wheels only come staggered, no choice in that matter, and staggered is preferred and recc'd here, no matter what wheels set up you are getting.

OEM 166 wheels will fit, the M5 tires will not

here's a good thread about tire sizes for 166's

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=54583&hl=

***245/35 F and 275/30 R is the recc'd tires size

for offsets there are 2 OEM choices, M5 and M6 offsets

M5 and M6 F offset is ET12
M5 R is 28
M6 R is 17

***The M6 offset is preferred due to it sitting wider and closer/flush to the fenders....

Go OEM if you are going to get these wheels: Garry or Frank both work at delaerships and offer 25% off + no state tax to e60.net members (price will run you ~$1600). Contact info can be found here

Tires can be purchased form tirerack.com

Please update you location as it will help to answer future q's. That upper right search bar is a very useful tool. 166's have been discussed often here, so you'll find almost every question asked and answered, both for these wheels and almost everything else regarding your e60.
