My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

Sorry guys to beat a dead horse, but I am still confused a little on which tire size I should go with for the 19" style 166 wheels on a 545i sport.

I don't want clearance/rubbing issues and I want to minimize the gap. Also, since the rim is .5" wider than the style 124 18"s - will putting the same width tire make it look like the rim is too wide for the tire? I would not mind a little wider tire as I think my 18"s right now seem like they are tucked into the car too far.

Also, I am not planning on changing the ride height.

Here are the options I am aware of (the comparisons are to the stock 18" staggered tires)

Front: 245-40-19 (same width, 1" diam bigger)
255-35-19 (.39 wider, .31 diam bigger)
245-35-19 (same width and diam) - not enough tire for the gap.

Rear 285-35-19 (.39 wider, 1.27 diam bigger) M5 size, will fully fill the gap. Have been told that it will not rub
285-30-19 (.39 wider, .15 diam bigger)
275-35-19 (same width, 1" diam bigger)

Advice and pictures (stock ride height) are appreciated.

Thanks
