I've got style 128 rims and they are rather nice (or 'sick' as the guy in our local tyre fitters told me today)

Can't see why you would have any problem specifying them instead of the standard m-sport 18s. You might not get the full value of the 18's back though as they are part of an upgrade pack.

Whilst I do like the 128's a lot (one of the reasons I bought the car) they are a bit on the flashy side.

The 175s are more conservative and perhaps more in vogue.

Not from the factory... The dealer will be able to - but it may be expensive...

Good Luck...I asked my dealer the same thing on some other wheels. No way would he exchange wheels. He said if they did that they would be in the used wheel business. Once mounted on the car the wheels are considered 'used' merchandise. I can understand that too.

BMW is the best when it comes to wheel variety. What the factory should do is use this to their benefit and allow customers to order any applicable wheel they want on their original order. This would result in more variety of cars on the road and make customers happier.

But good luck, you never know what the dealer might do. If you are going to order wheels from BMW, there was a posting earlier on 25% discounts on assessories. Never pay list for accessories. Also check with Chapman BMW in Scottsdale. Their website is....http://www.bmwwheels.com/

I asked the dealer when I purchased my car new last year and the answer was no. I purchased the 128's from a different dealer and paid about $3,200 w tires.

Have to sell the old ones of ebay then eh?

I like the 128's with the orient blue - but is that a dent on the back door Parsfdon?
