Stoopeed bolt!

My Ride: Alpine White 2006 530Xi (SLD)
So I got the FTM warning today, went to check the tire pressures and sure enough - one of the tires was losing air. Not a problem - I thought. Pulled the car over where its relatively quiet and started on the painstaking process of taking off the wheel and putting on the spare. The problem occurred when one of the bolts decided to refuse to budge. Long story short, 40 minutes later I am taking the car to a nearby mechanic to have the stripped bolt taken off (I stripped it myself, but it was because the guy that balanced my wheels a couple of weeks ago torqued the bolts too much). Thank God for Manhattan - I actually found several 24 hour mechanics nearby. So what's the net result? I'm $60 bucks poorer and I'm a little tired of having to explain to people why my rear tires need to be inflated to 38-39psi, but the tire's patched and the wheel's back on. The only casualty is the damned bolt - it deserved every punishment it got too 
I actually took it as a souvenir (might post a pic in a lil' bit). And the other thing is that I'm riding on 4 bolts on that wheel until I can make it down to the dealer and buy me some new ones... other than that, its all friggin' peachy

flip side of the night-time repairs: if your rims get scratched, you might not see it right away - went down to check the tire pressure and noticed that the rim is scratched pretty badly. I was gonna get them all re-done in a few months anyway, but I wish I wouldn't have had to drive the car with the rim scratched this much till then... oh well... life goes on
