Now that the snow is finally gone, it's time to put on my freshly Rejex'd factory 124's. Fronts are not bad but the backs are basically spent. I'm debating whether to get new Dunlop Runcraps for the just the rears or to replace all four.
I am considering BFGoodrich KDW-2's or Goodyear GS-D3's. I had S-03's on my Audi and they did well but I'm always looking for something better. I do like the reassurance of having run flats, however, but I haven't had time to research the runflats.

I know the tire topic has been kicked around a few times but I'm just too overworked to try a search.

Also, does anyone know if a 285 width would fit on the stock 124's without rubbing?

I just put some PS2 Sports (summer, not A/S) on my stock wheels a few weeks ago. I hemmed and hawed over whether to spring for 19" wheels, but the lack of availability of many tire choices prompted me to stick with the 18's (that and the crapola street paving in my neck of the woods).

I LOVE the PS2's. I thought seriously about the Eagle F1's, but I've heard too many complaints of road noise from other folks on this board and also Audi owners that I've chatted with.

My own experience with D3's on my E39 540 steered me away from them also. Those tires took forever to warm up and the ride quality was not as refined as what I'd expected. Terrific cornering, but that was about it.

So far the PS2's are the most amazing tires I've ever used. I have not been able to get the car to slide during turns on dry pavement. These are the first tires I've owned where I could not out drive the car. Amazing. I highly recommend them.

Realtyman, I second RoadRunner. I'm very pleased with PS2's - improved handling and low noise....what else can you ask for.
