I'm looking into purchasing some wheels finally should I get a staggered set up or not. I'm interested in the MRR GT1 in black w/ polished lip

20 x 8.5 all around
I don't know what tire size i should get

OR

20 x 8.5 in front and 20 x 10 in the back
tires sizes 245-35-30 and 275-30-20
is this the optimum tire size for the wheels?

I'm going to also install H&R sport springs, so I'm worried about rubbing.

Thanks ahead for your answers/comments

-Steven

P.S. I just started modding my car....this is sooooooo addicting and EXPENSIVE!!!!!

if you have a 545/550 then go for stagger, no doubt. i myself have a i-6 so it doesn't really justify going staggered BUT i just love the look...nevermind i can't rotate my tires.

I have the silver MRR GT1s on my silver grey metallic 530i with a staggered setup. I have Nitto 555 245/35/20s in the front and 275/30/20's in the rear. I did have a little bit of rubbing in the rear with this setup but after rolling my fenders it was gone. If I had it to do again I probably would have gotten different tires. Either a smaller size, or a different brand that is more rounded on the corners. Nitto's aren't very round on the edges which gives you more contact with the ground, but can give you more contact with your fenders too. I have the stock suspension right now and lowering the rear would probably make them rub unless the springs are pretty stiff. Anyway, I found a couple pictures of a black E60 with the black MRR's on it, look awesome.

If i went with the 20 x 8.5 on all sides does that mean I prolly won't have a rubbing issue even with the the H&R sport springs? I can just put on 245-35-30, which will also allow me to rotate the wheels. I "only" have a 530

All 530's have RWD so staggered setup is fine. I don't understand why it would matter if you had 525, 530, or 550. Staggered looks great! With 245/35 all around, you won't rub in the rear, but you might in the front. Since you are running 245/35 in the front with HR sport springs, you are sorta pushing it. I think you'll get by though. IMO, I still think you should have gotten the staggered setup. Return them!!!

If it was me, I would have ran 245/25/20 in the front and 275/30/20. Rubbing might be an issue in the rear under full load, so just roll the fenders. With the springs, the tires will be slightly tucked on the fender. With sport suspension you might be an inch gap.
