Ive just installed my new Sprint Booster V2 on my 2004 e60 545i w/ sport & premium.
Let me say: Its awesome. I love it. Totally worth it.
Now, some of that is because I knew what I was getting going in. The common knock is it doesnt improve any performance metric on the car (which is true), & that it only recreates you pushing your pedal harder (dont agree with that one).
What Ive found is that from 0-40 it is an extremely fun toy.
I can literally blow off the line & get thrown into my seat from a stop.
From about 10mph similar kind of fun.
Closer you get to 40mph the less impact of it.
I look at it as essentially pulling all that power/torque I have in my V8 down to where I can actually enjoy it.
Im rarely/never above 100mph so I dont need more on the top. I need it on the bottom.
To answer the critique of it being the same as pushing the pedal hard: thats not true in my set up.
Even when I pushed down hard, the car would have a gap as it interpreted or flattened out my input.
In "red" mode I can hit it & pop off the line. Traction control kicks in most every time.
Red mode is pure jerky fun.
Green is better than sport mode but not too crazy where the wife would barf.
And then you can turn it off if wanted.
Super easy install, reasonable price at $300 new (less used on the forum).
I really dig it, would only do V2 where you can pick the different modes & turn it off as needed.
