i have had my sprint booster for over 3months now. Last night, i started the car, put it in drive, press the gas and had no throttle response, the car moved so i knew it wasnt the transmission problem. Turned the car off and back on the gas work.

Has anyone have this problem??? i plan to take off the sprint booster and drive without it for week or so.

Mine did that when I first installed but only because I had not fully clicked it in to place. Maybe it has come lose?? I would take it out and put in back together and see if it happens again.

What is the lifespan of an SB anyway????

Nah, just do the reset tranny thing and that'll go away.

I have the same thing happened to me twice after installing the SB.

The throttle does nothing. And it happened both times on slopes and really dangerous.

My mech advised to remove and monitor as there are no fault codes from the port.

scared the shit out of everyone. luckily no one rear end me.

I am still monitoring to see if that's the reason though....so far no more happenings for 2 days.

Also, right after the car was restarted, the engine would just cut out by itself. I managed to get it home on Limp mode after 8 restarts and 5 minutes of rest.

my engine had the cut out problem at start up occasionally, usually in very humid/raining days.

Anyone have this problem without a SB?! We need to confirm that this is a SB issue first and foremost.

Then, is it something that happens to only automatic transmission cars or manual drivers experienced this as well?

Well, I wouldn't mind if it happens right after startup. But it died on me while I was at the border between 2 countries. And the danger of someone rear ending me.... I am off SB since then. Will see if the problem reoccurs without the SB. While I really like the SB but I just can't take the risk anymore.

Any other mates having random issues like this?

Mine seemed to happen after hard driving on up slopes.

What model E60 do you have? Is it a 535I? If so you may have other issues... search HPFP.
