It might be hard to come across someone with an extra SB lieing around.. could be wrong!

btw theres always GB's for SB's in the classifieds if you end up having no luck!

Just a question regarding SrintBooster. My mechanic suggested to install one when I will take the car for tunning but another bmw mechanic told me that on the long term it will damage the engine. I know that this has been discussed before but I didn't mange to find a straight answer. Any thoughts?

I'm not buying the long term damage statement... Basically what the SB does is simply amplify your car's acceleration pedal response.

That's correct - the SB simply modifies the accelerator pedal position 'response curve' and it's effect is transparent to the DME and rest of the car.
