My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front. Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.

Got it last night and installed it this morning. Install is a breeze, only thing is to tug it away since there's not too much space around the area. Did all this in about 10 minutes.

I got a 525i manual, and now the throttle is much more responsive (not jerky, I guess it's still a 525i afterall). It feels like a different car and very glad that I bought this. For some reason, with a manual, before if my rev is too low and I tried to keep the gear (like driving 30-40 mph in 5th gear), I can feel the engine strain a bit when I don't want to shift to 3rd. With the sprintbooster, it somehow makes me feel I have more low end torque (which I know it doesn't...) and it's smoother when I tried to accelerate back to like 50-60mph.

Highly recommend anyone trying this out if you have a 525i/530i. Not sure how much benefit if you already have the V8 monster with all the low end torque. It may not make much of a difference in real 0-60, but I definitely feel like I shave off half a second to 0-60... Just wonder why my car doesn't come from the factory like this...

Thanks katheikia for the quick ship and great help

good question as i thought it's a tool for turbocharged engines. Or no wait that's turbo timers...is it?
I dunno why i assumed sprint boosters are designed to control the turbo boost of the engine and then realease it at demand.

It's a Greek patend that eliminates the throttle delay/lag, all "drive by wire" cars are equipped with by factory, for a smoother starting.

As I understand it, all it does is change the map for the throttle pedal, fooling the engine into thinking you're pressing it harder than you are at any given point - obviously makes zero difference once your foot hits the floor, but your foot effectively hits the floor as far as the engine's concerned while it still has some travel to go in real life. Damn sure I wouldn't want that in the B5 - the engine's such a beast anyway that you wouldn't be able to drive it smoothly!

Ok then nono for me also. With that much torque i don't need it either, but more important i like the "travel" of the accelerator as it is now cuz i'm able to modulate the demand more aka sharper power demand.

im just saying about what i heard.. an actual remap of the ecu is the best way to go to improve throttle response, plus you get an increased rev range and the limiter is removed. sprint booster, and other "portable devices to increase throttle response" will cause problems in the future. again that is just what i heard about it.

Just an update
I have been noticing a slight increase in MPG after installing the sprintbooster, don't know why.
I used to get consistently between 21-22 MPG, now it's 22-23, and I drive pretty much the same.
Just thought I will share...
