Ok I installed my SB matched up all of the pins and get the error message. I remove the whole thing and plug in the OEM cable and it is still there!!
Can someone please help?

And yes I searched and I looked through the 2 topics but nothing helpful.

Engine malfunction means two things:

1) you put the plug in reverse, it goes either side. Need to watch the holes correctly. (I had this problem, freaked me out lol.)
or
2) the unit is bad and need replacement.

Well even the OEM cable is giving me the error.

Ok thanks. I am going to try driving the car for 50 some miles and see if the error goes away. And I am going to get a replacement from Andy.

You can just take it out, start it as normal, stop the car and try to reapply it. Same thing happend to me when I first got it.

When I removed the SB the engine code was still there. I probably got a faulty unit. I already emailed Andy and I hope I will be able to return it.
