For the most part no one has had issues with them. There have been some bad ones, which most vendors are willing to replace rapidly, but 9/10 it come down to User installation Errors when people put them in wrong.
They do one thing , Speed up the reaction time of the gas pedal.... I Don't know how that is "Dodgy"
I had one on my 535i with no issues, and now have on on my 530xi with no issues.

i have no idea. I decided to get the SB V2 ONLY the fact that it looks a lot nicer than the velocity AND there's an off switch since I HATE driving with the SB in traffic. I know I'll have fun on the highway.

well for all you guy out there with the SB.
I think I was the 1st 1 to use it back in 2005 in my last car and 100% OK and working fine.
Just member say it can be dodgy.
well in my opinion the SB if fine it been out for a long time and designed for many other brand cars.
Like I say the that member who say this SB is definitely dodgy. Any thing in our car can be definitely dodgy too.![Hyper](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/hyper.gif)
the hole car is controlled by computer and like PC you can never trust computer.
My 2 cent.
